Services are running again, however, delays and gaps in services are expected as services recover. We expect delays and disruptions throughout the afternoon peak. Please allow extra travel time; listen for announcements and check information screens before getting on trains and use transport apps for service updates.
  8. Jul 27, 1:44 PM Suspended Western Line — Trains are not running between St Marys and Emu Plains, in both directions, due to a person on the tracks at Penrith. The overhead power between St Marys and Emu Plains has been turned off due to the trespasser. We are contacting bus companies to arrange replacement buses between St Marys and Emu Plains; however, none are available right now. We will advise you when buses become available. Delay travel, consider using other transport options or make your own travel arrangements if possible until replacement buses arrive. We'll update you when we have more information. If you must travel, please allow plenty of extra travel time.

Metro services do not run between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Chatswood, the City and Sydenham.

Jul 23, 6:53 PM Severe Delays Cumberland Line, Leppington & Inner West Line, Lidcombe & Bankstown Line, Liverpool & Inner West Line, Western Line — Trains are not running between Granville and Cabramatta in both directions due to an incident requiring emergency services between Merrylands and Granville. Trains will be diverted via Regents Park and stops may change at short notice. We have requested replacement buses but at this stage there is no forecast. Please delay travel or consider utilising local services until replacement buses arrive and allow plenty of extra travel time.
